Dream One World...a nonprofit to change the world...one by one by one.

REJUVENATE ROHNERT PARK

In 2007, we partnered with Bob Thompson, one of our Volunteer Dreamworkers, (now an officer as "Director of Rejuvenation"), on a city-wide rejuvenation project.

An outgoing, friendly, upbeat mail carrier for the U.S. postal service, Bob constantly meets people and visits places along his route that touch his heart...and sees places in need of cleaning, repair, etc.

Instead of just wishing he could do something to help, Bob creates ways to make things happen.  He pours his heart and soul into these projects, with fantastic results.

He is beloved in his home town of Rohnert Park, and cares deeply about taking the city to a new level.  Please click "Play" to view our slide show to see many of the projects we have created through Bob's tireless efforts.

The photo gallery requires at least Flash version 9.0.28.

Our vision is to inspire all the residents and business owners in the community to be involved in making positive changes on their own properties, and working with city, state, and federal programs to improve all the communal areas.

This includes an effort to Go Green throughout the city, to eliminate homelessness for both humans and animals, to clean up the litter, to beautify neglected areas, to create community gardens, etc.

To follow is a list of projects we have started (in green) and envision (in purple).  The plan is to ultimately take the completed model to other cities, states, and around the world for all to emulate...  :)

Thank you!

From Rohnert Park Mayor Jake Mackenzie in a letter to Bob Thompson 6.10.08:

"As Mayor, and on behalf of the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you and DREAM ONE WORLD for creating "Rejuvenate Rohnert Park" and arranging for United Striping 101 to donate a crew and equipment to restripe the Rohnert Park Senior Center parking lot.

Rohnert Park is grappling with its share of financial challenges.  After spending hours on the unpopular job of slashing the budget, it was inspiring to have Corky and Gino Caprara, Jimmy Borup, Todd Risley, Mike Kennedy, and Kyle Castillo show up out of nowhere and work their magic on the Senior Center lot.  Thank you!!

We salute DREAM ONE WORLD's vision and you as the dreamer behind it all.  We are delighted to have you as neighbors."

"We are continually faced by great opportunities brilliantly disguised as (seemingly) unsolvable problems."
